My Story
A boy-mom, wife, born-creative, forever curious and learning, food and garden obsessed, healthcare rebel who loves to be out in nature doing anything: hiking, sitting in a river, flyfishing, skiing, laying on the ground looking at stars. Born and raised in Missouri, I’ve now lived in Idaho for 23 years. I love the wide open spaces and surreal beauty that surrounds me.
I love nursing because I get to be a fierce advocate for others that don’t have a voice, don’t know how to use their voice, or simply need guidance through a healing journey.
I stumbled upon natural ways of healing over 2 decades ago when trying to manage anxiety and routine health issues as I was uninsured. Good food as medicine has been my north star ever since and I’ve developed a lifelong reverence for plants and plant medicine.
I believe our society is hurting with poor quality food systems, high toxin burdens, and people with dysregulated nervous systems due to our pace of life. Many are looking for personalized, balanced guidance that does not revolve around simply suppressing symptoms, pharmaceutical drugs, and textbook recommendations. I am passionate about helping others get back to the core of who they are, feeling vibrant and living their best life.
As a long-time gardener with a passion for helping others navigate homegrown nutrition, and an RN and Board Certified Holistic Nurse Coach, I now help others on this powerful path to healing.

Since becoming a nurse, I have worked in a variety of settings- inpatient, outpatient, administrative and educational. I find great reward in advocating, being a resource, and connecting dots that were sometimes falling through the cracks.
And while modern medicine has clearly advanced our societies, it’s also no secret that our healthcare system has serious challenges: limited time, endless red tape, pharmaceutical-driven, ‘evidence-based’ guidance that relies on research from questionable interests, and insurance coverage restrictions to name a few.
After years of witnessing rampant chronic disease, frequent re-admissions to the hospital, limited resources, and no time for investigation into root cause approach, I decided I wanted to help people through the holistic lens…completing my Nurse Coach certification in 2024.
Nursing and Holism
I firmly believe we must address all pillars that make up holism to fully heal; spiritual, emotional/mental, physical, social, and environmental.
In our work together, we look for imbalances in the body, mind, and spirit. We utilize mindfulness techniques, rest, real food, social connection, and building awareness around environmental health and low-tox living.
Our world has gotten so noisy that we have forgotten how to simply get quiet and listen to ourselves, so we often start there.
I believe strongly that people want to do and feel better, and I do not ascribe to the thought that people are broken. Sometimes we just need a little help putting together the pieces.

How does food coaching and gardening fit in to health consulting?
I believe that our food system is not broken- it is working exactly the way it was intended…interdependent, Uber- processed, and Uber-profitable.
And it is making us very sick.
Our food supports our cellular health, and when our food is nutrient deficient (i.e. the modern industrial food complex) our bodies suffer.
It is up to us to educate ourselves as to
~where our food comes from
~how it was grown
~what we can do to get a cleaner food supply
Growing some of our food can help us get there.
I started growing food over 2 decades ago and have been obsessed ever since. We grow over 60 types of vegetables, flowers, herbs, and fruits in our large garden and use organic-no/ low till practices.
It’s definitely possible to have impactful nutrition on a much smaller scale and I love to teach others how to use these practices to grow food.
Through garden consulting and real whole food nutrition, you can give your body what it needs to thrive.
